30" x 30" - acrylic collage - *SOLD* second painting in a tripdyke series:
The Miracle of life
These three paintings represent a tripdyke dedicated to twins who were born prematurely at Medical City Hospital Dallas.
Although this tripdyke seems whimsical, it does have a message of hope and tells the story of the perseverance of the human spirit to survive and eventually thrive.
In the first painting “Celebrate” the tree is symbolic of strength,
stability, longevity and perseverance. The pair of doves is symbolic of family, peace and love. The eggs are symbolic of fertility and new life. The nest is symbolic of a secure home. The streamers and ribbons are symbolic of celebration, a special event.
In the second painting, ”Welcome Children,” the rollercoaster is symbolic of the ups and downs that we all experience in our daily journey. The little red wagon is a symbol of security although the ride is often bumpy at times. The hearts are a symbol of love that we all need along the way and especially when there seems to be no hope. The doctor in the shape of a bird is that stalwart daily presence that keeps telling the truth, using his skills and offering that lifeline of hope. The birthday cake is symbolic of “making it” one more year. The presents are symbolic of our heart felt gratitude to our loved ones for persevering with us through the trials and tribulations.
In the third painting, “The Blessing Bouquet” is a bouquet of hearts and is symbolic for a deep appreciation for life and is a thank you to all who participate in the miracle of life.
